President: Outdated World Order on Verge of Collapse
President Ahmadinejad made the remark in a meeting with visiting Ecuadorian Parliament Speaker Fernando Cordero in Tehran on Tuesday. World nations should not let those who took control of the world over the past 300 years impose their will under a new guise, he said. According to the presidential website, at the meeting, the Iranian president said the global hegemony has reached a dead-end. The current world order is at odds with nations’ interests and so it creates hurdles on their way of success and development and this should be replaced with a just and humanitarian order, he said. The Islamic Republic of Iran and Ecuador as two revolutionary nations spare no efforts to administer justice and establish friendship in the world, said the Iranian president. Iran is determined to further bolster mutual relations and cooperation at international level with Ecuador, he said. Those ill-wishers who are afraid of expansion of ties between the two countries are unable to counter the will of both nations, said President Ahmadinejad. Expansion of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries would help in draw up a new world order and expand bilateral cooperation between the two countries, he said. The Ecuadorian parliament speaker, for his part, said the Islamic Republic of Iran and Ecuador are on the same front in their struggles with imperialism and pursue common goals at international arena.
