UK Army Stretched to the Limit by Wars

Jarvis who is competing for Barnsley Central seat in the parliament said "if you look back at 2006, the army was running hot. The tempo was such that the army was stretched to its limit". Jarvis left the army last month to run as a Labour MP after 15 years of experience in the military including work as a Parachute Regiment company commander in Afghanistan's Helmand province in 2003. He also said he feels “let down” by Defense Secretary Liam Fox as he "banged on about the military covenant" when he was in the opposition but in the government, he has “done nothing about it”.
