Larijani Says Nations Will Not Tolerate US-Backed Despots

Speaking in a meeting with his Bolivian counterpart Hector Arce, he also hailed the recent developments in the region as significant and revolutionary. These events will change the world equations, Larijani said.

Underlining the need for further strengthening of bilateral ties between Iran and Bolivia, Larijani called on the independent states to deepen their cooperation.

The Bolivian speaker for his part said the two countries enjoyed common stands on many world developments and issues, the US ambitions in particular.

Arce expressed hope that his visit to Iran will bring about positive outcomes, calling Tehran-La Paz relations brotherly and amicable.

Arce arrived in Tehran Tuesday morning for an official visit at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani.

The Bolivian speaker is heading a five-member delegation and will stay in Iran for four days.

Arce is also due to meet with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaedin Boroujerdi and a number of other parliamentarians.

Arce is the third parliament speaker from South America to visit Tehran over the past month.

The parliament speakers of Ecuador and Uruguay were in Iran earlier in February.
