"Today the Islamic Revolution of Iran is being exported to the world," Mohammad Reza Khabbaz told FNA on Saturday.

"Our Revolution has been exported much faster to those parts where grips of dictatorship are tighter and democracy, liberalism and freedom of speech and thought are weaker," Khabbaz noted.

The lawmaker said the Islamic Revolution could influence the recent popular uprisings in the Middle-East "because the Islamic Republic of Iran shares abundant commonalities with these countries, with Islam being on the top of such commonalities."

He cautioned that the regional countries hate interference in their affairs by the foreign states, the US in particular, adding that people want to play the main role in determining their fate.

Earlier, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said that the recent uprisings in North of Africa and other parts of the Muslim world signify the impacts of the Islamic awakening inspired by the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

"The arrogant front, led by the United States, is well aware that Iran's Islamic Revolution is the role model for these popular movements," Ayatollah Khamenei said on Thursday.
