TEHRAN, March 14 (ICANA) – The recent uprisings in the Middle-East, North of Africa and other parts of the Muslim world signify that a wave of Islamic awakening, which has been started and inspired by Iran's Islamic Revolution, is now spreading throughout the region and the world, an Iranian legislator said.

MP Underlines Islamic Revolution's Influence on Regional Uprisings

"The recent developments in the world proved that the comments by (the late founder of the Islamic Revolution) Imam Khomeini will be materialized and the Islamic Revolution will be exported to the whole world," Hassam Ta'mini said in an open session of the parliament on Monday.

Earlier, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said that the recent uprisings in North of Africa and other parts of the Muslim world indicate the impacts of the Islamic awakening inspired by the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

"The arrogant front, led by the United States, is well aware that Iran's Islamic Revolution is the role model for these popular movements," Ayatollah Khamenei said earlier this month.

Inspired by the revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt, people in Libya, Yemen, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and now Morocco have been staging massive street protests to press the dictatorial regimes in their countries to step down.

Political analysts believe that the Middle-East and North of Africa should still wait for more uprisings and revolutions to happen.
