West Wants to Decide for Libyans: Lawmaker

“Several foreign countries are trying to make decisions for the future of the Libyan people,” the lawmaker said.

Haddad-Adel noted that the people's demands in recent political developments of the Middle East and northern Africa are overthrowing their regimes and their main objectives are establishing a popular government on the basis of Islam.

“Although the US and some bullying powers show themselves as supporters of peace and freedom, they are not committed to any international laws and regulations,” he added.

Haddad-Adel pointed out that the US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates visited Saudi Arabia merely to send troops to the Persian Gulf tiny state of Bahrain and also to kill the innocent people who only want political reforms in their country.
