Iran President, Intelligence Minister Attend Meeting

Ahmadinejad had refused to allow the intelligence minister to attend the previous cabinet meeting.

On April 17, Moslehi resigned from his position and was appointed as the presidential advisor in intelligence affairs by Ahmadinejad.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, however, rejected Moslehi's resignation and reinstated him.

In Sunday's meeting the president stressed the importance of the Rule of Just Jurisprudent (Velayat-e-Faqih) and said the government would serve Islam, the Islamic Revolution and the nation.

Ahmadinejad added that his government would continue defending the Rule of Just Jurisprudent.

The president described Iran's 10th government as a rational and expert, and said the country could only be developed through knowledge, rationality and sacrifice.

Ahmadinejad added that those who accuse the government of being influenced by superstitions are “joking.”
