Larijani: Iran Seeking to Develop All-Out Cooperation with Muslim States

TEHRAN, May 14 (ICANA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani underlined that Tehran is willing to expand all-out ties and cooperation with all Muslim countries.

"Iran's policy is based on the development of all-out cooperation, and specially economic relations, with the Islamic countries and Iran attaches much importance to the strengthening of bonds between the private sectors," Larijani said in a meeting with outgoing Indonesian ambassador to Tehran.

During the meeting, the Indonesian diplomat praised Iran for the efforts it has made to both enhance friendly cooperation between the two countries and consolidate solidarity among the Muslim nations, and said, "The Indonesian government and nation attach much importance to the reinvigoration of brotherly relations with Iran."

Iranian and Indonesian officials have on many occasions stressed their resolve to expand bilateral relations and mutual cooperation in different fields.

Earlier, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Iranian Envoy to Jakarta Mahmoud Farazandeh in a meeting in June 2010 discussed ways to develop the bilateral relations between the two Asian countries in all the various fields.

During the meeting, Farazandeh Referred to the two countries' friendly ties, and called for the expansion of all-out ties between the two nations.
