TEHRAN, May 19 (ICANA) – The Iranian president has appointed Rouhollah Ahmadzadeh-Kermani as the new head of Iran's Cultural heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHTO).

President Appoints New ICHTO Chief

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appointed the former Governor General of Fars Province as the new vice president and ICHTO director in a decree on Thursday, CHTN reported.

Ahmadzadeh-Kermani graduated in industrial management from Imam Sadeq (PBUH) University and received his PhD in media management.

He is replacing Hamid Baqaei, the Iranian president's chief of staff and vice president for executive affairs.

Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization is an educational and research institution overseeing numerous associated museum complexes throughout the country.

Administered and funded by the Iranian Government, the ICHTO was established in 1985 and is also responsible for the publication of many journals and books, and in charge of conducting joint projects with international museums and academia.
