US Planning to Stay in Iraq Forever through Mercenaries

Wasfi told Press TV's U.S. Desk on Thursday that every time there has been a drawdown of U.S. troops they have been replaced by high-paid mercenaries.

She said many of the mercenaries are former U.S. military personnel who have come from parts of the world where the U.S. is known to have death squads including South Africa, El Salvador and other countries in Latin America.

Wasfi says, "These are individuals who have careers as hired killers."

The Delaware-based-activist says this is a sign of the "falseness of the U.S. government". Wasfi accused Washington of planning to "maintain its presence in Iraq forever". But she predicts that similar to every occupier that tried to rule Iraq, the U.S. will be forced to evacuate completely sooner or later.

The State Department is preparing to spend close to $3 billion to hire a security force to protect diplomats in Iraq after the U.S. pulls its last troops out of the country by year's end.
