Saudi Arabia a Regional Dictators' Hub: Cleric

Yemen's dictator, who has now sought asylum from Saudi dictator and fled to Saudi Arabia, should know that the popular movement can not be suppressed, Ayatollah Jannati said, adding that Saudi Arabia which is itself ruled by a dictator regime has now turned into a hub for the regional dictators.

The only sin of the oppressed Yemeni people is that they are not ready to bow to government and injustice and the other sin of them is their being Shiite, he added.

Protesters in Yemen are celebrating the fall of the Yemeni dictatorial regime after President Ali Abdullah Saleh escaped to Saudi Arabia.

Saleh, who was wounded in an attack on his compound, flew on Saturday to Saudi Arabia for medical treatment and Vice President Abduraboo Mansur Hadi has taken over Saleh's duties.

The Saudi royal court said on Sunday that Saleh arrived in Saudi Arabia along with other top Yemeni officials to be treated for wounds they suffered in Friday's rocket attack on the presidential palace.

Hundreds of thousands of people have turned out for near daily demonstrations in Yemen's major cities since late January, calling for an end to corruption and unemployment and demanding the ouster of Saleh, who has been in office since 1978.
