Ahmadinejad Warns of 'political Games'

“Enemies are insulting the Iranian nation and officials and spreading lies against them with the purpose of preventing the country's progress but they are mistaken,” said President Ahmadinejad in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan on Monday.

He pointed to the “upward and speedy” trend of developments in Iran and stated that the Iranian people are resolute to reach high peaks of progress, IRNA reported.

The Iranian chief executive added that the Islamic Republic should be introduced to the world as a model in the fields of culture, economy and development.

He also stressed the importance of making more progress in order to play an influential role in political and economic spheres.

President Ahmadinejad said that despite high political and psychological pressure on the Iranian people, they have succeeded to make great progress.

“The Iranian nation will thwart all the conspiracies of enemies,” he concluded.
