TEHRAN, July 25 (ICANA) – Vice Speaker of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Seyyed Shahabeddin Sadr and Deputy Speaker of Afghan Parliament Rafiollah Golafghan on Sunday stressed expansion of bilateral relations and called for Iran-Afghanistan Friendship Group to become active.

Sadr considered common aspects between the two countries including language and culture as factors helping promotion of ties.

He expressed concern over the foreign domination in Afghanistan, and said experience proved that the United States has never left any country it invaded after World War II. Of course, he added, the Afghan nation has shown that they have not given in to the domination of any superpower.

Sadr then referred to foreigners’ schemes who try to sow discord among neighboring countries to distance them from one another with the aim of being able to following their own ominous plans and exploitation of nations.

The Majlis Vice Speaker added that foreigners install subservient governments by making countries dependent upon themselves. Thanks God, he said, the nations are awakened and this wave of awakening in the region is to take nations out of their domination.

He stressed that foreigners are panicked of the wave of Islamic awakening and said today only Muslims can help Muslims and that they should not pin any hope on foreigners.

In this meeting, Rafiollah Golafghan expressed gratitude for the Islamic Republic supports in the past 32 years and considered the Iranian nation as a united one which has stood on its own and moved on in the path of development.

Terming Iran’s role in Afghanistan’s development important, he called for exchange of experiences between Tehran and Kabul.

He regarded presence in Afghanistan of foreigners as compulsion and said U.S. presence in Afghansitan will cease by the end of 2014.

During the meeting, the Afghan deputy speaker called for removal of problems existing for Afghan immigrants in Iran and Sadr pledged positively for resolving the problems.
