A member of the presiding board of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Majlis Shabib Jovayjari told ICANA that Boroujerdi will also extend an invitation to Egyptian officials to attend a conference on Palestine to be held in Tehran in October.

Boroujerdi will also visit some other Arab states to invite their parliament speakers to participate in the pro-Palestine conference in Tehran.

While in Cairo, Boroujerdi is to meet with the Arab League Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi, ISNA reported.

The chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission left Tehran for Doha Saturday at the head of a parliamentary delegation on the first leg of his 4-nation Arab tour. In addition to Qatar and Egypt, the Iranian delegation will also visit Oman and Kuwait.

In Doha, Boroujerdi will submit Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani's message to Speaker of Qatari Advisory Council Mohamed Bin Mubarak al-Kholaifi to invite him for the Palestine conference.

Deputy Chairman of Iran's Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Mohammad Esmail Kowsari will accompany Boroujerdi in the trip as well.

Iranian ambassador to Qatar, Abdollah Sohrabi told ISNA, "Boroujerdi is supposed to meet the Chairman of Qatari National Advisory Council on Sunday. The two countries will discuss different issues including regional, Islamic and the Arab World topics and recent developments in Palestine.”

In related news, UAE Federal National Council Speaker Abdul Aziz Abdullah al-Ghurair called up Larijani on Thursday to underline the significance of the issue of Palestine for the Muslim world. He also praised Iran's support for the Palestinian uprising.

Ghurair also appreciated Iran's initiative on hosting the international conference to support Intifada of Palestine in Tehran and called the conference a "significant and ingenious move."

The Iranian Majlis is to host the 5th International Conference on Palestinian Uprising (Intifada) in Tehran for two days in early October.

"The issue of Palestine is a major issue for the Islamic Ummah (community) and we should not allow it to be forgotten due to the developments of the region," the Emirati lawmaker underscored.

Larijani, for his part, congratulated Ramadan and invited the UAE Federal National Council Speaker to attend the international conference to support Palestinian Intifada.

Member of the Majlis Presiding Board Hossein Sobhani Nia had announced that the international conference in support of Palestine will be held October 1-2 to mark the martyrdom of Mohammad Dowra, a Palestinian child killed by the Israeli troops in his father's arms. The incident has become a symbol of resistance in Palestine.

Meantime, in a meeting with president of the Cuban National Assembly Ricardo Alarcon in Havana on Monday, Sobhani Nia extended an invitation from Speaker Larijani to his Cuban counterpart to attend the Intifada conference.

Larijani has also officially invited Chairman of the Uruguayan House of Representative Luis Alberto Lacalle to attend the conference in support of the Intifada.
