Fraud perpetrators should face highest punishment

In an interview with Mehr News Agency on Sunday, Moosalreza Servati said: “The public expects to be informed about all aspects of this fraud and wants the perpetrators to be given the highest level of punishment,”

Iran’s Parliament summoned the Minister of Economy and Finance, Shamseddin Hosseiny, and the head of the Iranian Central Bank, Mahmud Bahmani for questioning on the fraud case involving a number of Banks.
Parliament’s internal policy, finance and economic commissions were behind the summons, following a week of intense media coverage of the emerging scandal.
The judiciary appointed Iran’s Prosecutor, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, to look into the case, who has already left for Ahvaz to investigate the Bank of Saderat branch where the fraud is said to have begun.
