TEHRAN, Sept 20 (ICANA) – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Monday that the current developments in the region herald bright prospects for Islamic nations.

Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with former Yemeni President Ali Nasser Mohammed in Tehran.

Dictatorship is root cause of backwardness, dependence and oppression in history and cultures of nations such as Yemeni people, Larijani said adding that current developments in the region herald bright prospects for the Islamic nations.

Larijani said that the Islamic Republic of Iran supports regional revolutions as an Islamic duty and that Iranian support for Islamic awakening in Yemen is in line with the general policy.

The role of youths in such revolutions is very significant; Larijani said adding that youths are regarded as invaluable assets in all revolutions.

He said that all nations must embrace the Islamic Awakening movements and make every endeavor to thwart conspiracies of the enemies.

Ali Nasser Mohammed, for his part, thanked the support extended by the Islamic Republic of Iran from regional revolutions and the Islamic Awakening movement of Yemen.

The Yemeni former president said that victory of the Islamic Revolution is regarded as the victory of all nations and Muslims in the region, adding that all should know that the future belongs to Muslims in the region.

Elaborating on his country’s developments, Nasser Mohammed expressed concern about bloodshed in Yemen and said the way the Yemeni government is dealing with the peaceful protesters will not bear fruit.
