Iran urges more cooperation with Paraguay

TEHRAN, Oct 2 (ICANA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, in a meeting with his Paraguayan counterpart Victor Bogado, urged closer parliamentary cooperation between Tehran and Asuncion to restore the rights of the Palestinian people.

During the meeting held on the sidelines of the 5th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada here in Tehran on Sunday, Larijani voiced Iran's enthusiasm for stronger Parliamentary ties with Paraguay.

"The cooperation between the two countries' parliaments can play a crucial role in restoring the rights of the oppressed Palestinian people," Larijani noted.

Bogado, for his part, said that the two countries' parliaments can provide bigger aid and assistance in expanding and developing the bilateral ties.

Bogado is in Iran to take part in the 5th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada.
