Larijani asks Islamic states to help Palestinians

"Today, Palestine is the first problem of the Muslim world and all Islamic countries should help resolve this problem," Larijani said in a meeting with Afghan Parliament Speaker Abdul Rahoof Ibrahimi and Head of Afghan Senate Fazl Ahmad Muslimyar in Tehran today.

During the meeting held on the sidelines of the 5th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada, Larijani thanked the Afghan delegation for its participation in the conference, and stated that the Afghan people who have suffered war and foreign occupation are well familiar with the pains of the oppressed Palestinian people.

Abdul Rahoof Ibrahimi thanked Iran for hosting the pro-Palestine conference.

Fazl Ahmad Muslimyar, for his part, pointed to the commonalities between Iran and Afghanistan, and described the two countries' ties as "inseparable".
