Leader had warned against the economic corruption

Speaking to ICANA on Wednesday, Papari said: "obeying the commands issued by Ayatollah Khamenei is regarded as a basic principle in the Islamic republic of Iran."

He further noted; "if the government authorities took the leader's warning serious, we wouldn’t experience the recent corruption case in the banking system."

Referring to the 8 Article Command issued by the leader 10 years ago, Papari said: "the economic officials and analysts were supposed to abide by the command and fill the gaps resulting in massive corruption cases."

"In such a scenario, we would not have experienced such a big embezzlement in the banking system." He added.
