Naqavi censures US meddling in Iran

"The Islamic Republic of Iran will not accept US meddling in its domestic affairs," Naqavi told Fars News Agency.

Naqavi noted that Clinton's remark about the US support for conspirators in Iran is a clear case of meddling in the internal affairs of the Islamic Republic.

He went on to say that US has interfered in the internal affairs of other countries many times while it has failed to respond to the legal demands of American people.

The Iranian official stated that Tehran has the right to lodge a complaint with the United Nations and other international institutions against Clinton.

In interviews with the Persian language services of the state-run BBC and Voice of America on Wednesday, Clinton said that Washington plans to launch a "virtual embassy" for Iran, which will give Iranians online information about visa applications and student exchange programs despite the lack of formal diplomatic ties between the Islamic Republic and the United States.

She added that the "virtual embassy" website would be launched by the end of the year.
