Amano US trip dubious ahead of report

I believe that Yukiya Amano's presence in the US to coordinate the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) report with Washington indicates a crime, Boroujerdi said on Wednesday.

Boroujerdi added that Iran would reject any lies that the US spreads about the country's nuclear program in the form of Amano's new report, Mehr News Agency reported.

The Iranian lawmaker accused the Americans of trying to keep Iran's nuclear activities an ongoing discussion.

Boroujerdi added that Tehran would reject the report if it strays from legal and technical issues and leans toward political matters, urging the IAEA to be an independent international organization.

Amano plans to submit his new report to IAEA member states next week ahead November 17-18 meeting of the Board of Governors.
