Islamic Awakening inspired by Iran

"After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the US described the world as “unipolar” and tied the freedom and welfare of world nations to the US liberal democracy, in which the United States created a fake facade of grandeur," Jalali said on Friday.

Jalali added that the takeover of the US Embassy in Tehran in 1979, Israel's defeat in the Lebanon War and the Gaza War, the Islamic Awakening that led to the fall of US-backed governments in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, the popular uprisings in Bahrain and Yemen, the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq and Afghanistan and the anti-corporatism protests in the United States have shattered Washington's delusions of grandeur.
