Russia's plan, last option for West over Iran's nuke dispute

In an interview with ICANA on Monday, Naqavi said, "The west has no option other than returning to the Russian step-by-step plan."

Commenting on the positive stance adopted by Russia over the recent report on Iran issued by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), he said, "The plan was proposed by Russia after the negotiations between Iran and the 5+1group in Istanbul did not succeed."

He further noted, "Western countries were expected to follow the plan, because it contains a reasonable framework for cooperation."

"However, the western countries chose to prepare another biased report through IAEA which indicates that they are not interested in cooperation with Iran," he added.

"The only option remaining for the western countries is to return to the proposed plan by Russia, otherwise they could not reach to a reasonable agreement with Iran," he concluded.
