Malta MP urges diplomacy on Iran N-case

In a Sunday meeting with Iran's Accredited Ambassador to Valetta Seyyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini, Dimech said that he opposes any unprofessional and discriminatory approach to Iran's nuclear program, insisting that diplomacy and talks would be the appropriate means to resolve all issues and misunderstandings.

The senior Maltese legislator also stressed that negotiations will help foster peace and interactions among all countries of the world.

Hosseini, for his part, outlined Iran's positions on nuclear, human rights, and terrorism issues, and criticized the West for its persisting dubious approach towards the Islamic Republic.

He said parliaments worldwide can confront such approaches by holding regular consultations and working towards the promotion of peace and convergent policies.
