Reducing ties, serious Majlis reply to UK

In an interview with Mehr News Agency on Sunday, Falahatpisheh said downgrading ties will definitely be a major loss for the UK.

“In my opinion Britain will continue its hostile policies against the Islamic Republic because the UK is the foundation of all anti-Iran policies in the region”.

Falahatpisheh added that the decision to reduce diplomatic ties with Britain to the level of charge d'affaires was taken in response to London's aggressive policies towards Tehran.

He said that the Majlis bill is a serious message to the UK that the severance of ties with the monarchy regime is a serious matter and that this bill can pave the way for completely severing all ties.

“The British cannot adopt all manners of negative policies against Iran and then expect to have top-level political and economic relations [with the country],” the lawmaker added.
