US aims to depict Iraq as insecure

In his Thursday comments on the situation in Iraq after the recent US troops' pullout from the country, Boroujerdi also called on the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's government to rely on the national capabilities and settle the issue of insecurity.

The Iraqi government should adopt measures to prevent the public from falling for the US plot, he added.

Boroujerdi emphasized that the establishment of security in Iraq should be a top priority for the Iraqi government following the withdrawal of the occupying forces from the country.

The senior legislator expressed Tehran's readiness to promote cooperation with Baghdad in all fields, particularly security issues, and to transfer its experiences to Iraq.
