US aims to break anti-Israel resistance

The Muslim world cannot overlook the malicious efforts by the occupying Israeli regime aimed at destroying the historical and Islamic identity of the holy [East] al-Quds (Jerusalem) and building up a Jewish identity for it as part of its continuous criminal activities over the past six months, said Larijani in a Monday meeting in Tehran with the head of the Turkish-Palestinian Parliamentary Friendship Group of Turkey, Murat Yildirim.

He called on all Muslim nations to wage firm resistance against such Israeli ploys and stated that the hegemonic policies are aimed at saving the Tel Aviv regime from isolation.

The top Iranian parliamentarian added that Palestine remains a vital matter for the Muslim world, reiterating that as two important Muslim countries, Iran and Turkey have a leading role to play in exposing the huge Israeli crimes against the Islamic history and identity.

The two Muslim and neighboring states of Iran and Turkey enjoy amicable relations and many common values, Larijani pointed out.

Yildirim, for his part, stated that Iran and Turkey have always acted as pioneers in drawing support for the oppressed Palestinian people.

He also called for adopting further political and parliamentarian measures to protect Palestinians from the persisting Israeli crimes.
