Arab League's paradoxical policies serve the Western interests

In an interview with ICANA on Wednesday, Kowsari said, "The Arab League is regarded as the regional proxy of the Western countries and the policies adopted by the organization can only serve the interests of the United States and European governments."

He further noted that Arab league is spearheaded by totally subservient governments such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia that are well-known for their connections to the Western countries.

"The body's inability to decide independently on the case of Syria has resulted in a series of paradoxes in policies toward Damascus," he added.
