Iran never gives in to bullying powers

He made the remark in a meeting with Head of Human Rights Commission of German Parliament Thomas Koenigs in Tehran on Thursday.

Pressures being exerted on the Iranian nation through various means such as imposing economic sanctions immediately after the triumph of the Islamic Revolution were effective in the emergence of talented youth as well as the national capabilities of the nation, he said.

Highlighting the grounds for expansion of friendly cooperation between the two countries in various fields, he said the two sides should not let the interests of certain countries hinder expansion of ties between the two countries, he said.

Promotion of parliamentary relations can leave sigificant impact on expansion of cooperation between the two nations, Sadr said.

The Iranian Majlis is ready to exchange views with German parliament on the West's double-standard policies mainly on human rights issue, he said.

Free activities of terrorist groups such as MKO and PEKAK in Europe and Germany run counter to their claims and mottos iof defending human rights and campaign against terrorism, underlined the Iranian mp.

Failure of the West to denounce human catastrophe in Bahrain and its support for the atrocities of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people are among such double-standard policies, he said.

The Germany envoy, for his part, expressed satisfaction with his visit to Iran and meetings with a number of ranking Iranian officials on issues of mutual interests.

There are historical commonalties between the two countries, he said, adding that bolstering parliamentary relations will prepare grounds for expansion and consolidation of relations between the two countries.
