US fears anti-American sentiments

“The arrogant positions of the White House have no significance for Latin American nations as they welcome Iranian officials with open arms,” Abedi said on Saturday.

Abedi made the remarks in response to a recent warning issued by Washington with regards to Latin American states increasing diplomatic and business ties with Iran.

Abedi went on to say that Iran's political, commercial and industrial relations with other nations are based on “mutual respect.”

“This is why Latin American states welcome Iranian authorities with open arms and Washington's stonewalling will lead to nowhere,” he stated.

Abedi further added that Latin American nations are so unhappy with past US behavior that they will ignore Washington's statements.
