Iran, Turkey to form joint commission next week

Tehran, Jan 14, (ICANA) – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on Saturday described his meetings with Turkish officials as 'positive' and said the Iran-Turkey joint commission will be formed next week.

He said after his two-day visit to Turkey that Iran and Turkey as two strong countries in the region must use their influence to restore stability and security in the region.

“The two countries are sharing communal point of views on different issues and the differences are in their assessment of phenomenon," Larijani said.

He termed his visit to Turkey as 'positive' for bring two different views closer and said we conferred and consulted to reach common approaches and indeed we reached.

Majlis Speaker described his meetings with his Turkish counterpart and Foreign Minister as 'positive and fruitful' and said the two countries' parliaments and commissions would from now on cooperate closely on different issues such as regional issues, trade and inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Larijani heading a high ranking delegation concluded his two-day visit to Turkey last night.

He held talks with the host officials on regional cooperation, current developments in Syria, Iran and Palestine and especially on Judization of Holly Quds.

He also discussed issues such as regional and parliamentary cooperation and the Islamic Inter-parliamentary General Assembly, which is going to be held in Indonesia on January 30.

Majlis Speaker held talks with his Turkish counterpart Cemil Cecik, President Abdollah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutogu.
