Iraq is supposed to hand over MKO leaders to Iran

In an interview with ICANA on Sunday, Kavakebian said, "According to the international law, the refusal of a country to extradite suspects or criminals to another may lead to international relations being strained."

"Thus, the Iraqi government is supposed to hand over the leaders of the MKO to the Iranian officials," he added.

The Iraqi government evacuated an initial batch of 400 members of the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) on Saturday from Camp New Iraq, which was formerly known as Camp Ashraf.

According to the reports, MKO members have been moved to Camp Liberty, a former U.S. military base near the Baghdad International Airport.
