Reform in Syria cannot be imposed by external powers

In an interview with ICANA on Sunday, Sanayi said, "The situation inside Syria is not as grave as depicted by the Western and Arab Media and the external factors have played a huge role in the intensification of the crisis in the country."

He further noted that the expected reform process which has been demanded by the people and the opposition should start from inside Syria and in a peaceful atmosphere."

"Any externally prescribed reform can seriously undermine the future stability of the country and will have serious repercussions for the entire region," he added.
