UN human rights report serves US anti-Iran plans

Taherkhani said Monday that such reports are worthless before the eyes of the Iranian nation, adding that the prime objective of the report was to challenge the Islamic Republic’s power and dignity.

Individuals like Ahmed Shaheed seek to issue false reports against Iran to tarnish the image of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation, but they will fail, the MP added.

He pointed to US efforts to organize anti-Iran moves and said given the wave of Islamic Awakening in the region, the US has utilized all of its power and influence, including the draft of the recent report, to tarnish the image of Iran, which has serves as a model for regional uprisings.

The US seeks to extend its dominance over the region, Taherkhani said, adding that enemies of the Islamic Revolution have pooled their resources to bring down the Revolution.
