Realistic stance by P5+1 in talks to bear result

“If the approach of the UN Security Council’s five permanent members plus Germany in the talks is fair, realistic and free from any prejudice, this round of negotiations will yield result,” said First Deputy Chairman of the Majlis Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy Hossein Ebrahimi on Saturday.

The Iranian legislator expressed optimism that a majority of the P5+1 group members are determined to settle the issue on Iran’s nuclear energy program.

Ebrahimi lashed out at the hostile policies of the US and the UK aimed at halting Iran’s nuclear energy work and reiterated, “The P5+1 should know that Iran is past [the idea of] suspension and closure and, whether they want it or not, the nuclear Iran can no more be denied.”

He praised Tehran’s “transparent and honest” cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and insisted, “The results of the talks should be directed at ending Iran’s nuclear case and nullifying the sanctions.”
