World of Islam's challenges should be resolved

Larijani made remarks in a meeting with Egyptian correspondents where he referred to recent revolutions in the region particularly in Egypt, saying Iran and Egypt enjoy cultural, religious, historical commonalities which are key factors for closeness of the two countries.

Larijani added Iran and Egypt are considered to be two major poles of the World of Islam and should move in line with improving mutual relations in favor of Islamic ideals.

The Parliament Speaker went on to say those challenges before the World of Islam should be resolved, adding unity among Islamic nations is necessary for Islamic communities which should be heeded more to confront the enemy's plots.

Larijani referred to sanctions imposed against Iran, saying imposition of sanctions against Iran and the country's peaceful nuclear program is the West's excuse against Iran.

He pointed out the world of hegemony aims to implement previous colonial policies with a modern method to prevent Islamic World's progress in different fields including modern technologies and science.

Egyptian correspondents hailed their visit to Iran, stressing the necessity of unity among Islamic nations against the enemies of Islam.
