Negotiators should not compromise on Iran's nuclear rights

Addressing the open session of Majlis, Larijani said the parliament supports the Iranian negotiators and seeks fulfillment of Iran's peaceful nuclear rights.

He regretted that the West has adopted the double-sided policies against Iran's peaceful nuclear program.

Larijani noted that western countries are suffering from misunderstanding over Iran's peaceful nuclear activities.

After the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, the West has been trying to create obstacles in the way of Iran's access to peaceful nuclear energy, said Larijani, reiterating that the Iranian nation has stood against them and defend its nuclear rights.

He warned the Iranian nuclear negotiating team that it should not show any “leniency” in regard to the degree of enrichment in negotiations with the major powers.

Larijani was indirectly referring to the 20 percent enrichment program which the Iranian nuclear team in Baghdad on May 23-24 said is open to negotiation.
