Positive outcome expected in Moscow talks

Boroujerdi pointed to several rounds of talks between Iran and so-called Group 5+1 (the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany), and noted, "The negotiations will eventually reach positive result."

He further argued that debates over sensitive and vital issues normally need a time-consuming process. "A complicated matter like the nuclear issue naturally entails long negotiations."

Boroujerdi further pointed to the internal differences among the P5+1 members, and said the stance of the Russians and the Chinese is different from that of the US and its western allies.

He said Iran is now an established nuclear state in the region, "and given this capability, the P5+1 members are moving towards understanding".

Russia and China have always supported Iran's inalienable nuclear rights and have asked for a solution to disputes over Iran's nuclear program through negotiations.
