NAM must put US military exit from Persian Gulf on agenda

“This summit should ponder over a solution and issue a statement to drive out the US warships from the Persian Gulf, as the rightful demand of the people of the Middle East and Persian Gulf region,” said Asfari on Saturday.

Asfari also pointed out that the upcoming NAM summit should spotlight the growing Islamic Awakening movement across the Arab world and noted, “Different committees should be formed at the NAM summit for this issue with the aim of following up the demands of the world’s freedom-seeking people, including in Bahrain, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.”

He also noted that assisting the Somali nation should be high on the agenda of the summit adding, “Today, millions of the Somali people are struggling with poverty and their country has been invaded by the foreigners. This summit should deal with this important issue.”
