Naqavi-Hosseini slams silence on Myanmar killings

Naqavi-Hosseini said on Monday that the apathy towards the killing of Muslims in Myanmar attests to a complicity between world bodies and colonial powers over the matter.

“The massacre of Muslims in Myanmar can be in some way related to similar events in other colonial states. The recent development in Myanmar bears the hallmark of those carried out in other parts of the world under the pressure from Zionist lobby teams,” the senior Iranian legislator pointed out.

He described the ongoing humanitarian and sectarian tragedy in Myanmar as ‘unprecedented,’ stressing that Muslims have lived for centuries in the Southeast Asian country.

“They (Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar) are now falling prey to the violence and atrocities only because of their faith and religious beliefs,” Naqavi Hosseini said.
