In the meeting, a number of parliament deputies from both countries as well as Iran Ambassador to Syria Mohammad Reza Raoof Sheybani were present.

Head of National Security Commission in Iranian parliament Aladdin Boroujerdi said Syria is under pressure because of its stance in supporting resistance.

Referring to current crisis in Syria, Boroujerdi said that the best solution to this problem is the Syrian people.

Head of Syrian parliament national security commission Sobhi Abou-Shamat said that Damascus expects Tehran to continue its support so that Syria can get out of the current crisis.

Abou-Shamat added that Syria victory would be a victory for Iran and the front of all resisting countries.

He said a number of Arab countries are now working as agents of the US and the Zionists and they are taking advantage of religion as a cover to achieve their goals.

The Syrian MP named these countries as Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey and said they are faraway from any religion.
