US trying to cover up weaknesses in PG drill

Referring to the drills planned by the US and 20 other countries near the Persian Gulf, Mohammed-Reza Mohseni-Sani said that the Americans are after covering up their passivity and weaknesses by launching a drill in the Middle East and the region will have to pay its cost.

He further noted that the drill is political and by launching it the Americans are trying to ensure their allies that they are in full control of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

“This drill is being held at a time when our soldiers and forces are in full control of the Persian Gulf region and naturally this maneuver cannot create any obstacle in the way of the goals of the [Islamic] establishment,” Mohseni-Sani said.

“The Islamic Republic has the necessary control over not only the Persian Gulf but also the depth of free waters, and is ready to counter any threat,” he added.
