Ex-lawmaker denies alleged interview with Kuwaiti dailies

"What the Kuwaiti Al Rai and Al Vatan dailies have quoted on my behalf is a conspiracy and I deny having had such an interview," Abedi said on Sunday, adding that he has had no interview at all in the last few days.

He pointed to the Muslim nations' reaction to a recently produced blasphemous movie against Islam's Prophet Mohammad (PBUH, and said that such fabricated news are part of the efforts made by the enemies to divert the public opinion from the Muslims' reaction.

On Saturday, Chairman of the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi categorically denied the report by Kuwaiti dailies about Iran's interference in Kuwait.

Kuwaiti dailies alleged that Karim Abedi had said Iran did not overlook the option of "interfering" in Kuwait to protect Shiites from "terrorists who are arming against them", and that the military interference in Bahrain will not happen again in Kuwait.
