Iran, Egypt, Syria, Palestine, Morocco discuss parliamentary cooperation

Tehran, Sept 18, (ICANA) – Legislators attending the meeting of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of Iran, Egypt, Syria, Palestine and Morocco in Tehran conferred on different ways to further expand parliamentary cooperation among the regional states.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission and Head of the Friendship Group Alaeddin Boroujerdi underlined the importance of parliamentary relations in strengthening ties among nations.

"Parliamentary cooperation is an important backup for the friendly ties among countries," he said.

Also, the latest regional developments as well as Iran's relations with Egypt, Syria, Palestine and Morocco were discussed at the meeting.

Iran had earlier announced the formation of a special joint friendship group to boost parliamentary ties with Syria, Egypt, Palestine and Morocco.
