Iran seeks to foster unity among Muslim nations

“It is the Islamic Republic of Iran’s strategy to reinforce unity and brotherhood among Islamic nations in the face of the bullying policies of the global arrogance,” Larijani said in a Tuesday meeting with Pakistani Punjab Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan.

Larijani went on to say that global powers seek to weaken Muslim nations by creating division and religious rifts among them.

He pointed to the long history of affinity between Iran and Pakistan and said Majlis attaches special significance to the expansion and reinforcement of economic, political, cultural and parliamentary ties between the two countries.

Given the status of Iran and Pakistan in the Islamic world, the development of economic and industrial cooperation between the two countries will contribute to the promotion of the status of Muslim countries in the world, he added.

Larijani also said that the economic potentials between the two countries could provide a suitable groundwork for the development of all-out mutual cooperation.

The Pakistani official, for his part, described Iran as a significant country in the region and said Iran’s resistance against global powers is a source of pride for Muslim nations.

He also called for the expansion of economic, political and parliamentary ties between Iran and Pakistan’s Punjab province.
