Iran not to surrender to unfair int'l equations

Speaking to reporters at the end of Majlis open session today, Boroujerdi said establishing mutual relations between Iran and the US would never be acceptable.

Recalling a statement by the Father of the Islamic Revolution the late Imam Khomeini who had once resembled Tehran-Washington ties as the ties between a" wolf and a lamb," Boroujerdi said "Such relations are never acceptable."

"Iran makes decisions based on its national interest as a powerful state both in the region and in the international arena. If Washington continues talking to Tehran with the present hostile literature, there will be no room left for any further talks with Iran," the MP stressed.

Denouncing the present US malicious approach against Iran, Boroujerdi stressed that holding talks with the US was one of the "red-lines of Iran's foreign policy and therefore, any decisions to that end should be made by the guidelines of the Supreme Leader.

Commenting on the new wave of the West's sanctions against Iran, Boroujerdi said if enemies had not imposed sanctions on Iran, we could have not made any of our present progresses.

Though Tehran would never welcome imposing any hostile sanctions, it could manage them in a way which would serve the nations interests, the MP said.
