Romania satisfied with Tehran-Bucharest industrial, trade cooperation

In a meeting with head of Iran-Romania Parliamentary Group Mohammad-Mehdi Zahedi, Teodorescu expressed hope that with removal of certain impediments, economic cooperation would further expand.

He said that longstanding cultural and trade relations between Iranian and Romanian people prepared the ground for expansion of economic relations and that the Romanian political and parliamentary officials call for expansion of friendly ties with Iran.

Zahedi for his part emphasized the need to augment economic and commercial cooperation between Iran and the European Union member states in light of abundant capacities in this respect.

He highlighted significance of cementing and promoting political, economic, cultural and parliamentary relations and said that parliamentary friendship groups would play a determining role to develop the two-way friendly ties.

He said the EU is following the US illogical policies on Iran which is detrimental to their national interests and would deprive them of the major market of Iran.
