“Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has taken up this issue and formed a sub-commission in this regard,” Aboutorabi-Fard announced during the Majlis session on Sunday.
The senior lawmaker asked chairman of the parliamentary commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, to report the results of the investigation to the parliament as soon as possible.
Earlier at the session, Iranian lawmaker Ahmad Tavakkoli criticized the Iranian Judiciary and Foreign Ministry for their silence over the ruckus made by the Western media about Beheshti’s death.
Iranian blogger Sattar Beheshti was arrested and charged with cybercrime. He passed away in prison.
