He made the remarks at a conference titled as 'Economy of Resistance, Sufferings and Solutions'.

The senior MP noted that the country instead will try to increase its income in the non-oil export sector.

'Apparently, the government wants to decrease the 1392 (the next Iranian year starting on March 21) state budget's reliance on oil exports to one million barrels a day,' he added.

Mesbahi Moqaddam predicted that Iran would bring to halt its national budget's reliance on oil revenues by the end of the Fifth Development Program.

'Islamic Republic of Iran should manage the imports, decrease dependence on oil revenues and increase the non-oil exports in its economic approach named as Economy of Resistance,' he added.

He asserted that sanctions aim to isolate Iran, but Tehran should establish special economic relations with other countries in order to foil enemies' plots.

'Economy of Resistance is different from the austerity measures, because the austerity measures are caused by the budget deficit while economy of resistance emanates from outside pressures.'
