Iran's software exports hit $50mln in 6 months

Tehran, Dec 9, (ICANA) – Chairman of the parliament's Economic Commission Arsalan Fathipour announced on Sunday that Iran's software exports in the first 6 months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21) amounted to $50mln, and reiterated that the country can bypass the western sanctions through exports of equipments and devices in the information technology industry.

"Iran's software exports in the last Iranian year (started March 20) and the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21) totaled respectively $100mln and $50mln," Fathipour said.

He also added that Iran can bypass the western sanctions imposed against the country over its peaceful nuclear program if it continues exports of equipments related to the information technology industry.
